Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists (KNCSB)

Helping Churches Make Disciples of All People

Building progresses in Eudora, Kan.

Project organizers hope Eudora Baptist Church, Eudora, Kan., will be in its new building by mid-October. Hundreds of volunteers have worked this summer to make the new building a reality.

Nine hundred volunteers from 27 states have worked this summer on the new building for Eudora Baptist Church, Eudora, Kan.

Baptist Builders for Christ chose Eudora Baptist Church as a project this year. Eudora is in a rapidly growing area on Kansas Highway 10 between Lawrence and Kansas City.

Builders for Christ is a network of volunteer teams that “assist Southern Baptists in building churches in locations which appear to be in significant need of evangelism,” its Web site says.

Past projects by Builders for Christ in Kansas-Nebraska were at:

  • First Southern Baptist Church, Salina, Kan.
  •
  • New Covenant Community Church, Lincoln, Neb.
  •
  • Louisburg Southern Baptist Church, Louisburg, Kan., and at Pearl Street Baptist Church, Paola, Kan., in a joint project.

In fact, a group from Paola worked in Eudora in early August.

Project organizers hope the 12,000-square-foot building will be completed by mid-October.
