The annual children’s camp for Central and Western Kansas Baptist associations was held June 4-8 at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan. A total of 42 children accepted Christ as their Savior during the week. “Children are ripe for the gospel,” said Terry McIlvain, KNCSB director of youth ministries.
A fund-raising campaign is now underway to raise $800,000 to complete the multipurpose building now under construction at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan.
The WCC board of directors learned more about the fund-raising effort during their meeting on Friday, June 8.
As a part of the fund-raising effort, a family has offered a $100,000 matching gift. Please mail gifts to WCC, 5410 SW 7th St., Topeka, KS 66606-2331. Designate gifts for “2007 WCC Challenge Gift.”

Participants in summer camps at Webster Conference Center will find a new element on the high-ropes challenge course. The course is designed to help individual campers gain confidence. However, the addition to the course, called “Jacob’s Ladder,” is a team-building effort for two people.
