KNCSB feeding operation continues in Greensburg

The KNCSB disaster-relief team is continuing its feeding operation in Greensburg, Kan. A devastating tornado hit the town on Friday night, May 4.

The team is now based at the Dillon’s grocery store in Greensburg, working in cooperation with the Salvation Army.

KNCSB wants to start a Southern Baptist church in Greensburg or in a nearby community.

“With the help of the North American Mission Board, we will be putting a mobile chapel in Greensburg,” says Bob Mills, KNCSB director of missions.

The double-wide unit will assist the American Baptist church (First Baptist Church) in Greensburg as well as other evangelical churches there.

Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptists, along with other donors, have given $30,000 to KNCSB for tornado relief efforts in Greensburg. These gifts are helping to support the KNCSB feeding operation. And part of the money will be used to furnish the interior of the mobile chapel, Mills said.
