Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptists are involved in a busy summer of camps, mission trips and family vacations. But now is the time to begin making plans to attend the 2008 KNCSB annual meeting.
It will be held Oct. 13-14 at Westside Family Church, 8500 Woodsonia Dr., Lenexa, Kan. Find directions On Kansas Highway 7, exit at 87th Street, go east to Woodsonia and then south to the church campus.
The meeting theme is “Balanced Kingdom Leadership: Embracing Treasures Old and New.”

Activities will start with the KNCSB Pastors’ Conference. It will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Westside Family Church. Gregory Frizzell will be the featured speaker. He is president and founder of Gregory Frizzell Prayer and Renewal Ministries. Frizzell is director of prayer and spiritual awakening for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.
Kansas-Nebraska Woman’s Missionary Union will hold its annual mission celebration from 4:15-6:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at the church. Ray and Penny Young, missionaries to Portugal, will be the featured speakers. A meal is included, so pre-registration is required by Sept. 29. This session will include the Webster Conference Center report, missions recognitions and the Midwestern Seminary report.

The session will feature the keynote address by Emil Turner, executive director of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. The Kansas-Nebraska Singing Men will perform.
