The 65th KNCSB annual meeting will be held Oct. 11-12 at Parkview Baptist Church, Lexington, Neb. “Sharing, Starting, Strengthening, Sending” is the theme.
Former Nebraska pastor Tony Lambert will be the Bible study leader. Lambert earlier served as pastor of Westside Church, Omaha. He is now pastor of First Southern Baptist Church, Del City, Okla.
H.B. London Jr. will deliver the keynote address on Tuesday evening, Oct. 12. He is vice president of ministry outreach/pastoral ministries for Focus on the Family.
Rick McCarley will deliver the annual sermon on Tuesday morning, Oct. 12. He is pastor of Osawatomie Southern Baptist Church, Osawatomie, Kan., about an hour’s drive southwest of Kansas City.

Crossover Central Nebraska
A new feature at the 2010 KNCSB annual meeting will be Crossover Central Nebraska.
Crossover will consist of prayer walking in Lexington and Kearney, said Jon Sapp, KNCSB director of evangelism.
People groups in Lexington that need the gospel include Somalians, Sudanese and Hispanics. Kearney is the home of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The Southern Baptist church there is Crossroads Church, pastored by David McDonald.
Participants in Crossover will meet at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Parkview Baptist Church in Lexington. After a fellowship time with coffee and doughnuts, a 20-minute training session will be held. The group will then split up into teams to go prayer walking. Or you may stay at the church and pray for the KNCSB annual meeting and related events.
Sapp will lead the Lexington teams, and Georges Boujakly of the KNCSB staff will lead the Kearney team. The teams will meet back at Parkview Baptist Church around 11:15 a.m. to debrief.

Coffee Klatch for Ministers’ Wives
Monday, Oct. 11, from 1-3 p.m.
Ministers’ wives are invited to attend a Dutch-treat coffee klatch while their husbands attend the Pastors’ Conference.
A carpool will leave Parkview Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, for Madeline’s Café & Bakery in Lexington. The group will return to the church by 3 p.m.

The KNCSB Pastors’ Conference will be held from 1-4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Parkview Baptist Church. “Being a Relevant Church in the Next Decade” will be the theme.
Terry Williams and Jim Presnell from River Community Church, Wichita, Kan., will be the featured speakers.
