Plans gear up for ‘Beautiful Feet’ trip

The annual mission trip to Beautiful Feet homeless ministries in Fort Worth, Texas, is set for Jan. 23-25, 2009.

Tri-County and Twin Valley associations in Southeast Kansas launched this ministry effort. Numerous other groups and individuals have joined over the years.

“There is room for everyone. This will be an opportunity to experience a phase of the Kingdom of God that you may not have experienced in the past,” says Elijah “Touch” Touchton, team leader. 

The large group will be divided into four teams—Construction, Children’s Ministry, Street Ministry and the Food Team.

Cost is $20 per person and $40 per family. Team members will be staying at Victoria en Cristo Church and will eat meals there. This church is a few miles from Beautiful Feet.

Orientation will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Trinity Baptist Church, Pittsburg, Kan.

“We need care packs to give out on the street in Fort Worth,” Touchton added.

“This year we are asking each church or group to make up the complete care packs with the items listed below.” Use travel-size items when putting the care packs together in 1-gallon zipper-seal bags.
