Helping Churches Make Disciples of All People

Students descend on New Orleans to serve

Kansas-Nebraska students joined thousands of their peers in ministering in New Orleans during spring break.

Students from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kan., returned to New Orleans for their second 2007 mission trip there. They represented Christian Challenge, the Southern Baptist ministry at K-State.

Dave Gevock, associate director of K-State Christian Challenge, supports his family through his roofing business. Under Gevock’s leadership, the K-State group concentrated on roofing projects. The K-State group was part of more than 200 people who represented Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptists in New Orleans during spring break.
