The exterior lights on the new multipurpose building at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan., cast a warm glow in the twilight.
Campers at Super Summer 2008 opened their hearts and wallets to give a record offering of $22,959. It will go toward paying for the gym floor in the new multipurpose building.
Students have now been challenged to give an additional $77,041 during the next 10 months so the gym floor can be installed by next summer.
Campers were challenged to give $3,000 during each of the six weeks of camp. But they exceeded that goal and gave an average of $3,827 each week.
An effort also is underway to raise funds for the elevator in the new building. The KNCSB Women in Missions and Ministry department is spearheading this effort.
