The fourth annual camp for Hispanic youth in Nebraska and Kansas was held Aug. 6-10 at WCC. It attracted around 90 people.
“Dare to be a Daniel” was the camp theme. Omar and Janna Segovia returned as the camp spiritual leaders. In 2006, they were serving at a church in Toronto, Ontario. They have since moved to Missouri, Janna’s home state, where Omar is now a student at Midwestern Seminary.
“This week I’m going to encourage you to be honest before God,” Segovia said.
During the week, campers memorized Scriptures to help them lead someone to Christ.
“The greatest thing you can take with you [from camp] is God’s Word,” Segovia said.
In 2008, Hispanic Super Summer will kick off the KNCSB summer youth camps—it will be held June 23-27 at WCC.
