- Glen was recently hired to teach 5th grade and brought along a friend, Bill, to help set up the room. Coincidentally, this was Bill’s alma mater and bill shares some funny stories from those years. The mood abruptly changes, however, when Bill discovers the room’s radiator still has a bend in it from when he was there. In that spot, a boy in his class was tied to the radiator and had his pants pulled down in front of the class. Bill feels the guilt of his participation that day. He also knows the boy committed suicide. Bill knows everyone thinks he’s a nice guy on the outside, but his capacity to hurt another human being haunts him. When left alone for a few minutes, Bill tries to apologize to the boy.

- In the land where everyone has a patch over one eye, another on a ear and an arm in a sling the Partpeople are content in the way they live. A stranger arrives in their village who has no patches and can hug with both arms. He offers them a way to see with both eyes, to hear with both ears and to hug with both arms. Refusing his offer they ask their scientist, educator, and medical person if this is possible. When learning what he offers is impossible they stone the stranger to death. They were surprised when he reappeared with the same offer as before. Again, everyone refuses except for the child who listened, accepted the offer and then could hug with both arms.
