The 6 dramas on each video, presented at Willow Creek Community Church, were especially written to reach the unchurched, raise questions, and make the audience laugh—or cry. They act as a “set-up” to the message given by the pastor, opening the audience to hear God’s Word on issues like evangelism, addiction, and marital conflict.

When she realizes Ann is non-churched, Linda gets nervous, pedals faster, and somewhat self-consciously talks about the few practical dimensions of her faith. By the time Ann leaves, it’s clear that the women enjoy an affinity which will likely result in future deeper conversations.

- In the car on the way to an awards banquet for his being salesman of the year, Doug and Nancy get in a fight. She is becoming more and more frightened of the man he’s becoming as he claws his way to success. He can’t see the way both he and his family are paying a price for his drivenness. He also can’t see how part of his problem is his trying to please his deceased father’s wishes for him. In the end, Nancy gets out of the car and leaves Doug in his success act. As the lights fade, Doug lays on the horn, frustrated and alone.
