Acteens is a missions organization where girls in grades 7-12 can actively participate and grow toward becoming all they were created to be. Acteens is member-led under the guidance of an adult advisor.
Acteens extras include:
MissionsQuest is an optional individual achievement plan for Acteens. It is designed to “guide them as they learn about and grow in God’s kingdom values.” It will “lead an Acteens on a journey of discovery that will fashion her as a Christian whose faith is naturally expressed through missions.” There are six levels of MissionsQuest. Within each Quest are four journeys or focus areas: self; church; community; and world.
State Acteens Citation is a further achievement level designed and awarded by Kansas-Nebraska WMU. Questions should be directed to the state office or the youth consultant.
Acteens Activators is sponsored by state and national WMU in cooperation with the North American Missions Board and the International Mission Board. Girls must be an active Acteen, be 15 years of age or have completed the 9th grade, and must complete at least 50 hours of training.
Acteens Interns is an opportunity for junior and senior Acteens to serve individually as short-term volunteers. It is sponsored jointly by national WMU and state conventions.
Top Teens and National Acteens Panel are selected from applications sent to national WMU.
National Acteens Convention occurs every few years when Acteens from across the United States gather for a time of fun and inspiration.
Acteens Advantage is for older Acteens and allows more flexibility and prepares them to continue their involvement in a WMU organization after high school.
