Campers on Mission

Work on a residence at a children’s home recently took a step forward, thanks to the help of Kansas-Nebraska Campers on Mission.

COM members staged a work project July 24-Aug. 4 at Alpha Christian Children’s Home, Perry, Kan. They worked on the Faith House replacement residence. The original home burned as a resulted of a lightning strike.

Some of the COM women worked on clipping and sorting product labels which are important source of income for the children’s home. These funds are used to purchase educational curriculum and other Learning Center needs.

General Mills Box Tops for Education are redeemed for 10 cents each. Best Choice UPC codes are redeemed for 3 cents each.

Along with their regular rotation of work projects, Kansas-Nebraska COM is busy planning to host the 2019 National Campers on Mission Rally. It will be held June 5-7, 2019, at the Kansas State Fairgrounds, Hutchinson, Kan.

“Harvesting for Jesus in the Heartland” will be the rally theme. The theme Scripture will be Matthew 9:37-38.

Upcoming Kansas-Nebraska Campers on Mission events include:

Sept. 29-Oct. 1—Fall COM rally at Weir Baptist Camp, Weir Camp. A work project at the camp will be held the weeks before and after the rally.

Oct. 9-10—Annual meeting of Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan.
