Outreach at the Iditarod starting line in Anchorage
Feb. 28-March 6, 2014

The early registration fee is $525 per person (plus airfare to Anchorage) if deposit and registration forms are received by Dec. 31, 2013.

If registration forms are received after Jan 1, 2014, the cost is $575 per person plus airfare to Anchorage.

Outreach at the Iditarod finish line in Nome

Join us at the Iditarod finish line! Our task is twofold: to reach into the Native community of Nome as well as into the musher sub-culture of Alaska.

Mission Anchorage
May 31-Aug. 9, 2014

If you love kids, have a heart for the needy and want to make a difference in Alaska’s population center, then Mission Anchorage is for you!

We provide nutritious lunches to kids under age 18; host outreaches in parks, mobile-home communities, apartment complexes and HUD housing units. We also host sports clinics, recreational activities, kids clubs, block parties, and more.

This is a turnkey project: we have a cook team that preps your meals. We set up your housing, your van rentals, background check and block party gear.

Our summer staff is here to aid you in your project.

Arctic Men’s Shop Building
June, July and August 2014

Aid Inupiaq ministry in expanding a small building to house a men’s shop. Alaska Native men come in to work on their snow mobiles when outdoor temperatures drop below zero.

While sipping coffee and stoking the wood-burning heater, men mentor men in this “man-cave.” Plans for this building include mentoring in subsistence methods of tanning skins, cutting meat and repairing snow mobiles and ATVs. Bring your carpentry skills and enjoy the Arctic.

Cost: $500 plus airfare to Kotzebue, Alaska. (Arrive in Kotzebue on Flight 151, Flight 152, or Flight 153) Price includes lodging, local transportation by van or boat, bedding and meals.

Salmon Frenzy
Week 1: July 8-15, 2014
Week 2: July 15-22, 2014
Week 3: July 22-29, 2014

Join us for Salmon Frenzy! This is a servant-evangelism strategy to reach Alaskan residents who are camping out on Cook Inlet beaches dipnettng salmon. Thousands of Alaskans descend on Keani, Alaska, to fish for sockeye salmon as an annual family event to fill their freezers.

Bering Sea cabin construction

Flanked by the shores of the Bering Sea and the Iditarod Trail, this cabin will host camps for Alaska Native youths from the Norton Sound region, an area of Alaska that is riddled with youth suicide and abuse. Bring your skills to this seaside construction project on the tundra 18 miles east of Nome, Alaska.

Week 1: August 3-9, 2014

The cost for each week is $500, plus airfare to Nome, Alaska. Additional days incur per diem fees.
