Beth Moore challenges women in simulcast
Women in Nebraska and Kansas were among the 70,000 participants in the Beth Moore “Living Proof Live” simulcast.
The event was held Friday night, Aug. 1, and Saturday morning, Aug. 2. It originated in Louisville, Ky., and had 715 satellite sites, including locations in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and a military base in Tokyo, Japan.
“Only God can do something like this,” Moore said as the event began on Friday night. The simulcast helped celebrate the 10-year anniversary of “Living Proof Live.”
The popular Bible study leader based her four sessions on the Parable of the Sower in Luke 8: 1-15. The parable is about people who expose themselves to God’s Word, she said.
Focusing on verse 8, Moore challenged women to be like the good soil in order for the Word to produce a “100-fold” harvest in their lives.
Her latest study, “Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman,” is scheduled to be released in November.
“Living Proof Live” dates and locations for 2009 have just been announced. Events in the Kansas-Nebraska area include:
- May 22-23, 2009, at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
- Aug. 14-15, 2009, at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D.
In addition, a special Beth Moore event for ministers’ wives will be held March 14-15, 2009, in Nashville, Tenn.
Moore also will be appearing at “Deeper Still” Dec. 4-5, 2009, in Oklahoma City. The event also features renowned Bible teachers Kay Arthur and Priscilla Shirer.
