Canada project needs volunteers

Since 1990 World Changers has offered Christian youth and adults the opportunity to touch people in need.

World Changers started with an emphasis on renovating substandard housing. That emphasis continues, although World Changers has expanded into numerous other areas.

The Canadian National Baptist Convention is seeking volunteers for a 2009 World Changers project in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It will be held July 25-Aug. 1.

This is a World Changers Community Project that exposes students to a blend of community ministries and construction projects.

So far, only 60 students have signed up for the Prince Edward Island project, and 200 are needed.

“It is really important that more students register for the PEI World Changers project, or it may have to be canceled,” according to an e-mail from the Canadian convention.
