Doug Lee makes transition in ministry

Doug Lee, church planter catalyst in Western Nebraska, announced a transition in his ministry on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016:

This is my last official day with the North American Mission Board. I am retiring from NAMB but not from ministry. I am thankful for the support I have gotten from NAMB and Southern Baptists over the years.

What are we doing now? Brenda is a part-time paid chaplain with Great Plains Health (hospital) in North Platte. I will pastor a field of churches and help plant new churches in the region. I am pastoring Ogallala Community Church looking to the day they will need to call their own pastor. We are planting Two Rivers Fellowship, a new SBC church in North Platte.

Once a month we are still working with Solid Rock Baptist Fellowship, a church plant with Lakota Sioux in Alliance. We may have a few Native American families interested in a Bible study in Chadron. So we are praying for a couple that can do cross-culture ministry in Alliance and Chadron.

If you, your church, small group, or association feels led to partner with us in church planting in town-and-community missions, private message me or send me your email address for a newsletter. Besides prayer support we welcome financial support. You can send financial support to Western Trails Ministries, 309 W. 2nd St., North Platte, NE 69101. Thank you for your friendship and support over the years.
