Hispanics form church planting network

The spiritual fields are ripe for harvest among Hispanics in Nebraska and Kansas.

Hispanic church leaders in the two states gathered Feb. 2-3 at the Baptist Building in Topeka, Kan., to strategize how to reach this growing population group. A couple from a Hispanic church in Iowa also attended the meeting.

They formed the Hispanic Church Planting Network. The goal is for Hispanic churches to serve as church-planting centers, said Abraham Arevalo. He is a Hispanic church planter catalyst based in Wichita, Kan.

The group also was urged to attend the KNCSB Vacation Bible School Jumpstart Clinic. It will be held Saturday, March 28, at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan. A Spanish track will be offered.

KNCSB Hispanic Super Summer will be held June 15-19 at Webster Conference Center. It will again kick off the KNCSB summer youth camps at WCC.
