IMB honors missionary retirees
The International Mission Board honored 60 retired missionaries on May 15 at an emeritus recognition service at the IMB Learning Center in Rockville, Va. Their time on the world’s mission fields represented a combined total of 1,730 years of service.
Among those honored were Bob and Jane Grayson, who served at Southview Baptist Church, Lincoln, Neb., before going to the mission field. They served at the Philippine Baptist seminary for 12 years. Then they traveled and taught throughout Southeast Asia for an additional five years. Their students are serving in such countries as Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.
“We have been so blessed to see students being faithful in passing God’s light and love to the next generation,” Jane Grayson said in the Baptist Press article. Read more
