New resource for churches targets young adults
The 18- to 34-year-old age group is noticeably missing from churches.
“It seems like everybody in the world is interested in this generation. Big companies want us to buy their products,” a 20-something young man is quoted on the LifeWay Christian Resources Web site. “The Army wants us. Politicians want us. The only organization that doesn’t want us is the church.”
LifeWay’s response to this problem is “Threads.” It is based on Romans 12 and Colossians 3. Threads focuses on four key ideas: community; worship; service; and uniting generations within the church.
