Normative Church event to be held April 24-25
The third annual KNCSB Normative Church Leadership Conference will feature two leaders from Real Life Ministries, Post Falls, Idaho. It will be held April 24-25 at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan.
Leaders in churches averaging fewer than 150 in worship are the conference’s focus.
Registrations are due Friday, April 10. A registration fee of $40 per adult or $60 per couple will be charged for those staying at Webster Conference Center. A fee of $15 per adult or $30 per couple will be charged for those staying off campus.
Keith Strasburger and Gene Jacobs of Real Life Ministries will be the conference’s featured speakers. Real Life Ministries began in 1995. More than 90 percent of the church’s fellowship is within its intentional, relational and reproducible small groups.
Real Life’s training process will fit KNCSB normative churches since it does not require big budgets, promotion or programming. It only requires one or two people who want to be intentional about growing as a disciple and who want to encourage others to do the same.
Activities on Friday night, April 24, will begin with registration at 6 p.m. Gene Jacobs will give his testimony during the opening session at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, April 25, the first session at 8:30 a.m. will focus on “Biblical Foundation.” “Intentional Leader and Relational Environment” will be the focus of the second session at 10:30 a.m.
The third session at 1 p.m. will address “Reproducible Disciple-Making and Alignment/Unity.”
KNCSB Executive Director Bob Mills will close the event at 2:45 p.m.
