Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists (KNCSB)

Helping Churches Make Disciples of All People

Building projects continue in Western Kansas

Kansas-Nebraska Baptist Builders needs volunteers for upcoming projects.

The group specializes in electrical wiring. More volunteers, both skilled and unskilled, are always needed. If you can’t participate, please pray for Baptist Builders and help recruit volunteers.

For more information, call Elijah “Touch” Touchton at 620.230.9962. He is an electrical contractor from Pittsburg, Kan., and leads Kansas-Nebraska Baptist Builders.

Upcoming Baptist Builders projects are:

Sept. 13-17 at Sublette Southern Baptist Church, Sublette, Kan.

“All fixtures are in placed in ceiling grid and about one-third wired,” Touchton says. “We still need to finish wiring the ceiling fixtures, mount the outside fixtures, install bathroom fixtures, dressing rooms, fire alarm and other miscellaneous wiring.”

Sept. 27-Oct. 1 at Southern Baptist Church of Syracuse, Kan.

“We need to install lighting in the sanctuary and fellowship hall, install outdoor lighting and other miscellaneous wiring.”

The Kansas-Nebraska group has been working with Volunteer Christian Builders in both Sublette and Syracuse. VCB is based in Texas.

Baptist Builders will be working in other places this fall. Details will be announced when the projects are finalized.
