SBC Pastors’ Conference set for June 8-9

“Prepare for Rain” will be the theme of the 2008 SBC Pastors’ Conference June 8-9 in Indianapolis.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, with a special showing of “Fireproof,” the third movie from Sherwood Pictures.

Sherwood Pictures is a ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church, Albany, Ga. Michael Catt, the church’s senior pastor, was keynote speaker for the 2007 KNCSB annual meeting in Bellevue, Neb. He is president of the SBC Pastors’ Conference.

“Fireproof” tells the story of a firefighter who is a hero on the job, but at home he lives in the embers of a dying marriage. Read more

“During each session we will give away materials to help you as a pastor and leader,” Catt says on the conference Web site. “Pastors attending the sessions will receive over $75 in free materials as an investment in their ministry.”
