Update from Minot, N.D.

The KNCSB disaster-relief feeding team continues to serve in flood-stricken Minot, N.D. Numerous other state conventions, including Arkansas, have joined the effort.

Volunteers are needed for the following dates:

  • Sept. 8-Sept. 18
  •  
  • Sept. 15-Sept. 25
  •  
  • Sept. 22-Oct. 2


Each KNCSB team will depart from Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan., on a Thursday morning and arrive in Minot on Friday. They will leave Minot on Saturday morning after seven days of service and arrive back at WCC on Sunday.

KNCSB first responded to the Minot flood in early July by sending laundry and shower units. The disaster-relief shower units from Northeast Association in Nebraska and Heart of Kansas Association were deployed. The Eastern Nebraska Baptist Association laundry unit also responded.

The main KNCSB disaster-relief field kitchen was activated in mid-July. It began operation in Minot with lunch on Saturday, July 16.
