The Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists (also called “Church Forward”) is seeking a new Executive Director-Treasurer (EDT) to succeed our current leader, who will retire in October 2026.

The Executive Director-Treasurer is responsible for assisting the Convention by leading Convention staff, strategic planning, coordinating the work of the committees, boards, institutions, and corporations of the Convention, as well as budgeting and stewardship of financial and material assets of the Convention. The EDT must communicate the Convention’s purpose to the churches and foster awareness of opportunities for missions and church partnerships. Church Forward is a partnership of more than 430 churches across Kansas and Nebraska. Church Forward’s mission is helping every church forward into their sacred mission.

After prayerful consideration, the Executive Committee is seeking a candidate who:

  • Meets the biblical qualifications for leadership in the local church as the EDT will regularly preach in partner churches (1 Tim 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9)

  • Strong moral character and a vibrant Christian life

  • Affirms and adheres to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message

  • Holds an accredited theological master’s degree (doctorate strongly preferred)

  • Has at least 10 to 15 years of ministry experience

  • Strongly supports the Cooperative Program (evidenced, where applicable, in current role)

  • Possesses strong administrative, communication, and relational skills

  • Understands and appreciates the unique dynamics of a Midwest state convention

  • Ability to continue strategic partnerships with NAMB, IMB, SBC seminaries, and other SBC entities and can represent Kansas and Nebraska Southern Baptists nationally within the SBC

  • Ability to develop, connect, equip and encourage ministry leaders as well as serve as a strong advocate for church planting, church revitalization, evangelism, collegiate ministry, and leadership development across the state convention.

The deadline for resume submission is May 30, 2026.
